Turn a neighbourhood name into a clear pickup point
Provide the street, building number and town. For a hotel, office or other venue, include its name and the entrance the traveller will use. Agree a new address and desired pickup time for the return journey.
If the entrance is on another street or the meeting point is unclear, discuss the pickup in advance so the traveller and driver are referring to the same place.
Prepare for your destination
For a taxi to a station, first check the station name and train departure time. Allow time for traffic, getting out and reaching the platform.
For a taxi to Schiphol, plan backwards from your airline’s check-in instructions. Provide passenger and luggage details, and discuss extra space before finalising the journey.
